Summer Sing Season Sampler

Summer Sing is a casual and fun way to celebrate the end of summer and join members of the SWFL community in song.  

This year, we will sample pieces for our upcoming season. Singers will learn about the works and have a chance to sing the music too.  

There is no performance, so the evening is a celebration of the process of music making.  Choral Artistry will provide some refreshments as well, so participants can meet and mingle with members of the community.

SING OUT! 2025 - Vienna, My City of Dreams

CONCERT

Performing a variety of pieces from Vienna including pieces from Haydn, Schubert, and Mozart’s compositional pieces from his Requiem in D minor .

The Concert is FREE and open to the public.

SING OUT! 2025 - Vienna, My City of Dreams

Please join our Festival Choir as we workshop through Mozart's greatest unfinished pieces, his 1791 Requiem Mass in D minor. Left unfinished, we will sing through his original composition of movements 1 - 7, Introit, Dies Irae, Tuba Mirum, Rex Tremendae, Reordare, Confutatis and Lacrymosa. 

Festival choir will rehearse on Saturday (2 workshops) and Sunday (1 workshop) and then perform on Sunday at 4:00 PM.

In person check-in begins Saturday at 9:30 AM.

Closest Airport: RSW

Workshop and festival concert will be lead by Dr. Trent Brown.

Hotel suggestions: There are many in the area - Holiday Inn, Drury, Marriot, etc. You may want to map the Church location and then see what hotels interest you. Many are located in shopping centers (Gulf Coast Town Center/Bell Tower Shops).

Join us for our Holiday On Tap Beer Choir at Palm City Brewing (PCB) in Fort Myers. Dr. Trent Brown will lead us in our singing of your favorite Holiday tunes.

PCB is making some special brew choices for us to help get us in the spirit, and a food truck will be there as well with fantastic nosh. Additionally, we are holding a 50/50 raffle and we will have a list of all of your favorite (and least favorite) songs available for the event.

There will also be an Angel Tree from Eva’s Closet Foundation which helps provides Christmas to children in our area. Please bring gift cards to Walmart, Target, or Publix to drop into a box under the tree.

It is going to be a GREAT time and there will be food trucks available for dinner as well. Please help us to make this a great event and sing in the season together at Palm City Brewery. PCB is a family friendly establishment. This event is free and open to the public - you just need to pay for your own food and beer! See you on the 10th!

Summer Sing is a casual and fun way to celebrate the end of summer and join members of the SWFL community in song.  Several local conductors will share their favorite works by composers who are women.  Singers will learn about the works, and have a chance to sing the music too.  There is no performance, so the evening is a celebration of the process of music making.  Choral Artistry will provide some refreshments as well, so participants can meet and mingle with members of the community. 

Some composers highlighted will include: Alice Parker, Jocelyn Hagen, Rosephene Powell, Andrea Ramsey, Clara Schuman, and Elaine Hagenberg.

Guest conductors include: Dr. Trent Brown, Madison Fullarton, Christy Koller, Dr. Bryan Ijames, Claire Fischinger and Juliana Shryrock.
